The train lines were a success in its work, but the railroad got taken over by newer train lines. In time the train lines evolved to better and faster trains, but other train company's took advantage of this.As time went on they turned more in to diesel models in today. It was a passenger train till the Amtrack came. When the Amtrack came it went to fright then it was gone.
The B&O ended when the CSX and Amtrack came out and took over the rails in 1987. Most of the B&O rail-lights were given to CSX and Amtrack. Also some land was given to the commuter marc train for some lines later on. There have been model B&O trains and saved trains from the 1950’s. These and other railway trains from there were taken to the B&O Museum.
